Peace Dome installed at Lunder Arts Center

In collaboration with insect ecologist Dr. Amy Mertyl and environmental scientist and artist Dr. Nicole Weber, Our Place is a STEAM-based installation that asks how more-than-human habitats can inform sculptural and architectural thinking.

The dome was developed through collaborative design and construction, drawing from both natural and built structures. Made from triangular panels that come together as hexagonal forms, the dome creates an enclosed yet permeable space that people can move through and gather within.

The project centers on shared space—how it is built, how it is held, and how it shapes collective experience. The dome functions as a site for gathering and reflection; structure becomes a framework for participation.
